When I first met Eileen + Eric at their engagement session back in early 2020, I knew they were my kind of people. They have a boxer named Taser, a cat named Garbage, love trying out breweries around Chicago, know the best place in town for tacos and perhaps best of all…they are endlessly in love with each other and think the sun shines out of each other’s you know what (that’s a good thing).
Their wedding at Brix on Fox just outside of the city had everything they wanted, especially all their favorite people (and many more tuned in via video stream!). They intentionally planned each part to be uniquely and authentically true to them. During their ceremony, they took a shot of each other’s favorite alcohol as a symbol of unity (love this idea!) and cheers’d their guests as a thank you for witnessing their marriage. What might come as a shock to other couples planning a wedding is that Eileen + Eric left a lot of the decision making up to their team of vendors. Eileen didn’t have any specific requests for her bouquet or florals so she sent a photo of the floral print heels she planned to wear to the florist and let her have fun! They handed over the reigns to their day of coordinator Arika so they could relax during the day. And they completely trusted me as a photographer to capture moments as they unfolded (while making sure they looked good of course).
Their wedding day represented them and their relationship as a couple, just as it should! It was the best, I am so thankful I could be there! Keep scrolling for their full gallery and vendor team!
