Drew and Jarett’s San Diego Engagement Session at The Guild Hotel
Couples who make their engagement session an event are my favorite kind of couples. You’re only a fiance once, might as well celebrate the fuck out of it?? Although Drew and Jarett were living in San Diego at the time of our session, they decided to go all out and make a whole weekend staycation out of it. They really took the time to put a lot of thought and intention into their engagement session – from the styling to the location to the vibes. Just know that the more intention you put into your session, the better the photos are ALWAYS gonna turn out.

The vibe for this session could be put into three words: sexy, cool, and fun. Drew and Jarett’s go-with-the-flow attitude and tequila-level confidence combined with their natural chemistry as a couple made photographing them so much fucking fun!! Not only that, but they styled themselves amazingly (see: Drew’s DIY’d black dress & makeup by Lindsey Jones) so literally all I had to do was guide them into different prompts to get the type of photos they wanted. They booked the penthouse suite at The Guild Hotel to ensure we had enough space and privacy to mess around… and boy did we take advantage of it 😉
