Estancia La Jolla // Outdoor San Diego wedding venues
Ummm talk about rustic Spanish romance vibes?? Estancia La Jolla is an indoor + outdoor San Diego wedding venue that sits on 10 acres of lush, green gardens. The hacienda-style architecture is so unique and its beauty is quite literally unparalleled. Whether you’re having 400 guests or 40, they have 6 different spaces to accommodate all guest count levels.
Their outdoor venues are filled with olive trees, water fountains, and winding pathways to make your wedding day feel like a literal fairytale. Along with having your wedding here, you can also host your wedding shower, bachelorette party, rehearsal dinner, and farewell brunch at Estancia La Jolla!
Twin Oaks // Outdoor San Diego wedding venues
If getting married in a private, intimate forest sounds like the dream to you and your partner, I would seriously consider tying the knot at Twin Oaks. This romantic, historic estate is about as secluded as you can get, and you’ll be surrounded by the beauty of nature the entire time. One of my favorite things about this outdoor San Diego wedding venue are the twinkling rose arbors that will give your wedding a warm, cozy, intimate vibe, especially in the evening. There are two getting ready suites for both people getting married at this venue, and a grand, tented pavilion where you can dance the night away with all your favorite people.
Botanica // Outdoor San Diego wedding venues
This hidden tropical paradise venue will make you forget that you’re in San Diego. Prepare to be transported to a completely different type of forest in this space! The ponds, waterfalls, and fig trees will seriously make you feel like you’re in paradise, far away from any metropolitan city. There are three different ceremony sites to choose from – The Cove, The Tree, and The Tropical Forest. These natural, open air settings are perfect for couples who want to DIY their wedding or just take advantage of the natural beauty this venue offers.
The Darlington House // Outdoor San Diego wedding venues
The space where historic charm and modern elegance meet, the Darlington House is one of the best outdoor San Diego wedding venues around. This event venue is located just two blocks from the Pacific Ocean, so no one is stopping you from going for a post-wedding swim at the beach!! They have three different outdoor spaces to choose from – The Egyptian Patio, The Andalusian Patio, and the Rose Garden. With a blend of architectural styles from all over the globe, The Darlington House provides a simple yet stylish and customizable setting for your big day.
The Lane San Diego // Outdoor San Diego wedding venues
Did someone say waterfront wedding in San Diego?! The Lane takes the combination of an indoor/outdoor venue to a whole new level. The venue takes up the space that once was the original Padres stadium, with views of Lane Field Park, the Midway, Broadway Pier, Star of India, and the inbound/outbound cruise ships.
The 3,500 square foot outdoor terrace is on the second floor of the venue, partially covered with the option to set up cocktail tables, lounges, and onsite catering. The 20’ sliding glass doors open up to the large interior space, giving fun, modern, open-air vibes for you and your guests.
Balboa Park // Outdoor San Diego wedding venues
Balboa Park is one of the most popular places to visit in San Diego – and for good reason. It’s so much more than just a park; it’s where nature, culture, and science collide in the heart of San Diego. There’s museums, gardens, shops, restaurants, and pretty much anything else you can think of that would entertain you.
But most importantly, the outdoor venue spaces are seriously some of the best around. You can visit their Venues page for a full list of all their indoor and outdoor spaces, as well as the guest count limit for each of them individually. Some of my favorites are Prado at Balboa Park, the Casa Del Prado Patio, and the Marston House Grounds.
