These two are the definition of my dream couple – a pair of edgy, fierce, and stylish creatives who were ready to have an epic and unique engagement sesh. Tara + Jack’s LA Engagement Photos at Vasquez Rocks
Due to Tara and Jack’s creative careers as (insanely talented) tattoo artists, they have an eclectic take on all things wedding and photography. If you’ve browsed my website for more than like, 2 seconds, you know that I’m a photographer for couples who don’t play by the rules. Tara and Jack were THE perfect fit, and we were able to get so fucking creative with their LA engagement session because of it.
Most importantly, though, they had the confidence to be themselves and trusted the hell out of me to do my thing while they did theirs. They leaned into my direction when it came to more editorial-style posing and loved the whole edgy flash portrait vibe we got after sunset. To achieve the vision I had in mind, we started the session at the very end of sunset and continued shooting through blue hour and into nighttime, resulting in a wide variety of looks and photos. Not to mention Vasquez Rocks was the perfect Los Angeles engagement session location for their goth cowboy chic vibe!!
I’m so grateful that Tara and Jack flew all the way from Chicago to LA to shoot with me, and even more grateful that they hired me to photograph their wedding, too!
