After seeing these photos, you are going to be CONVINCED to have an Isle of Skye elopement in Scotland!! Chelsea and Sanchez had the most epic, scenic, picturesque elopement in such a stunning outdoor location. It’s time I finally share these two on the blog!
Chelsea and Sanchez’s Isle of Skye, Scotland Elopement Photos
Who says that beautiful elopements can’t be adventurous and go with the flow? At Lauren Lucile Creative, you’re encouraged to create an elopement experience that encompasses everything you want as a couple. For Chelsea and Sanchez, this meant having a simple outdoor destination elopement on the Isle of Skye. If there’s anything you should know about me it’s that I’m obsessed with travel, so I was more than ready to pack my bags and head to Scotland to photograph these two!
They’re originally from North Carolina, so traveling to the Isle of Skye for their elopement was a journey. They had never been to Scotland before, but they knew they wanted an adventurous story to tell for years to come! Pretty fucking epic, right? They kept it just the two of them, making it an intimate and intentional experience that I’m so happy I was able to be a part of.
While Chelsea and Sanchez were getting ready at House of Juniper, Meraki Blommor and Honey + Thyme Events went ahead and hiked to their ceremony location to set up. They built the most STUNNING ceremony arch ever, filled with greenery and just a few florals that complemented the landscape perfectly. When we got to the location, Chelsea put on her custom-made (CUSTOM MADE) elopement dress from Meagan Kelly Designs that blew all of our socks off. You never would have guessed that this was the first time she even tried on the dress in the first place because of how beautifully it fit her. Between this gorgeous custom dress and her stunning makeup look by Alanna McNiven, everything just came together!
Personal vows & a magical sign
I’m ALL for writing your own personal vows for your wedding or elopement, and that’s exactly what these two did. They did a first look right before their ceremony and then went straight into it! As they were pouring their hearts out to each other, a rainbow appeared in the distance that felt SO magical I literally teared up. It’s not every day I get to witness such a beautiful moment in such a picturesque location (not to mention with the sweetest people ever), but being here with Chelsea and Sanchez reminded me so much of why I love doing what I do. And now they’ll have photos of this momentous occasion forever!
After their ceremony, we took some insane portraits (and, of course, got some solo shots of her custom dress), hiked back to the cars, and their day came to an end! They went to dinner with just the two of them afterward to celebrate finally being married. I could not have asked for a better couple to travel all the way to Scotland for!
