My Favorite Joshua Tree Wedding Venues

If you’re getting married in Joshua Tree, I wanna be RIGHT there with you. Joshua Tree is seriously one of my favorite destinations in California! In fact, I even mention it as a location suggestion in my Ultimate Destination Wedding Planning Guide. Because it’s such an amazing location for weddings and elopements alike, I decided to put together a list of my favorite Joshua Tree wedding venues, just for you!

Images are sourced from the venue’s website.

AutoCamp Joshua Tree

Not only would this be an epic place to stay, but it would be an even more epic wedding venue. Accommodations wise, AutoCamp Joshua Tree has both Airstreams and X Suites available on the property, which of course would be perfect for you and your guests. In terms of venue spaces, they have three different ones for you to choose from!

The Desert Flat is an outdoor blank canvas where you can take advantage of the natural desert scenery as the backdrop for your big day, with a guest count limit of about 108. If you’re having more guests than that (or just really want the privacy), you can buy out the entire property for exclusive use of the grounds. That’s right – the clubhouse, the outdoor space, the indoor bar, and more. And on the complete other end of the spectrum, if you’re having a more intimate wedding or elopement, you can rent out the Mojave Dome for up to 50 of your closest friends and family.

Sacred Sands

Just one mile from the West Entrance of Joshua Tree, we have Sacred Sands Oasis & Events. This venue sits on about 5 acres of land so close to the national park that you have joshua trees as a backdrop and beautiful, sweeping mountain views. They have a rustic-style ceremony circle onsite, an outdoor reception space, and a cocktail hour patio with insane sunset views. If you wanna take the party indoors, they also have a ballroom with a later curfew than their outdoor space!

Tumbleweed Sanctuary

Tumbleweed Sanctuary Garden & Labyrinth is SUCH a beautiful Joshua Tree wedding venue, I cannot get over it. This venue unfortunately doesn’t have onsite accommodations, but there are lots of nearby Airbnb’s that you and your guests can stay at. They have 3 different spaces to choose from, two of them being outdoor and one indoor option. The Garden is filled with native plants that you’ll be surrounded by for your ceremony and your wedding photos, which make for a pretty sick backdrop. The other outdoor location, The Labyrinth, is a great place to incorporate ancient tradition into your ceremony and have quite the unique setting for your ceremony!

At Tumbleweed Sanctuary, every couple who ties the knot gets a joshua tree specifically dedicated to them on the property. It will have a plaque with you and your partner’s name on it, so you can come back and visit and see it grow throughout the years!

29 Palms Inn

Unlike most areas of Joshua Tree, 29 Palms Inn has a lush, green outdoor wedding space on their 8 acre property. And right smack dab in the middle of it is the Oasis of Mara! For larger weddings, The Lawn at the Edge of the Oasis is a beautiful open space right on the edge of the majestic palm oasis. For weddings with 20-50 guests in attendance, The Courtyard at Irene’s Historic Adobe is the perfect intimate gathering site. With over 23 uniquely different rooms onsite, your guests are more than welcome to stay here as well.

Penny Lane Ranch

Not many Joshua Tree wedding venues have a ceremony barn onsite, but Penny Lane Ranch certainly does. It’s technically located in Sky Vallely, CA, but it’s definitely close enough to Joshua Tree where we can hop over and take some badass photos any time of the day. 3 of the 5 acres are landscaped with olive trees, palm trees, and of course infamous desert mountain fees. The ceremony barn is 2,200 square feet with an all white interior, and there’s a 2 bed, 2 bath prefab house onsite as well as a one bedroom cabin. Included in the rental fee is a 3 night stay for up to 6 people.

Those are my top 5 Joshua Tree wedding venues that I would recommend to any couple getting married near the national park. Airbnb and vacation rentals are also very popular! Just check with the host’s rules about having events at their property first.

Now, I know what you’re thinking; “Lauren, how do I book you as our Joshua Tree wedding photographer?!” and I’ve got you covered!! To inquire about your date, you can fill out my contact form and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
