Luxe Rooftop Wedding at Morgan’s on Fulton
Before their wedding day, I was already obsessed with Jessie and Will. We originally met during their engagement session where their natural chemistry literally came to life in front of the camera. They have such a good attitude and approach not just towards wedding planning, but to their relationship in general. Getting to photograph couples who are in love, laidback AND know how to party?? These two + their wedding were a dream come true.
For their big day, they wanted everything to be in one place. This eliminated a ton of back and forth transportation-wise and allowed them to spend so much more time together AND with their friends & family!! They got ready at an Airbnb loft directly across from Morgan’s on Fulton and then proceeded to have their first look. One thing they communicated to me was that they didn’t want their wedding day to be a whole ass production, so I made sure to plan their photo timeline pretty damn strategically. Forgoing a formal wedding party alleviated the stress of doing dedicated “wedding party” photos and I was able to snap candids of their crew instead, making the day even less of a production! They had a lowkey ‘getting ready’ moment, and their first look was in the very same Airbnb loft. No fuss, no elaborate planning, but it was still as sweet as could be!!

While we were waiting for their family to arrive, we took some casual portraits of them on the street and then went straight into the family photos. We intentionally factored in lots of buffer time for stress-free moments and no rushing! This is what happens when you communicate your priorities to me ahead of time – you get exactly what you envisioned. Because I knew exactly how they wanted their wedding day to go, I knew how to properly execute their vision. They trusted me to observe and direct as I saw fit, and in turn they got bomb ass wedding photos without compromising the laid back vibes. Everybody wins!!
A personalized ceremony and jam-packed dance floor
If there’s one thing about Jessie and Will, it’s that they simply wanted everyone to have a good time. They were majorly focused on their people enjoying each other’s company, which is why they decided not to have a formal wedding party. They themselves had been to multiple weddings in the past, and they absolutely did not want their loved ones to be under that kind of stress. Instead, Jessie had a Maid of Honor and Will had a Best Man, and everyone else got to attend as a guest!
They added a few super sweet and intentional details to their ceremony at Morgan’s on Fulton. For all of their typography and rentals (think: their neon sign, bar signs, entrance arches, etc), Jessie created and designed everything using her designer background! Her talent really shone through and added an extra special touch to their classy yet eclectic black and white details.
To add to the personalization, Jessie’s brother played guitar as they walked down the aisle and was their officiant! They wrote their own vows (which, tbh, I recommend all couples do) and lowkey forgot to exchange rings, so we did that privately afterward (some of my favorite photos and a truly memorable real life moment!). They also chose to spend one on one time together while their guests mingled during cocktail hour, which was so fucking cute. It’s honestly not often that newlyweds get to have that kind of time together when they plan a big wedding, but these two knew their priorities and stuck to them.
Once they rejoined their family and friends, everyone had dinner station style and continued to mix and mingle to their heart’s content. There was no formal seating chart, so that added to the relaxed and laid back vibes! They kept the speeches short ‘n sweet, and the rest of the night was pure chaos (in the best way possible) on the dance floor. The energy was TRULY unmatched.
